Concept Development
1.1 To develop the lighting concept, objective, philosophy and practice standards (IESNA, CIE or EN) in line with the project theme.
1.2 To translate the lighting concept with the state of the art lighting design effect in the form of proposal which shall consider:
- The surrounding lighting ambience.
- Compliance with buildings regulations and lighting codes from council/owner.
- Individual lighting element interpreting the concept.
- The correlation of illuminance and luminance effect to the building material and texture colors.
- The environmental science from the light source.
- State of the art lighting equipments and system solution to achieve the objective.
- Lighting terminology performance criteria to fulfill the concept and building guidelines.
1.3 To obtain approval from the Local Authorities where applicable.
Design Development
2.1 To construct lighting system design inclusive of the light equipment structure, type, range and total system control integration solution to the building management system.
2.2 To compute illuminance/luminance lighting calculation via accredited independent lighting software for light equipment quantity calculation and light distribution evaluation. The computation shall be executed with use of photometric soft data of relevant light equipment from the lighting manufacturer or supplier.
2.3 To estimate budgetary cost on light equipments and system integration.
Documentation & Specification
3.1 To incorporate the approved design into lighting drawings which indicate lighting points, types, light switching methods, lighting control systems and circuit control schedules together with electrical loading as input to Electrical Engineer.
3.2 To prepare tender documentation which shall include drawings, lighting system, technical and performance specifications.
Tender Evaluation & Report
4.1 To review and evaluate tender offer based on technical and commercial aspect.
4.2 To review and evaluate shop drawing with final light fixture models and mounting methods.
Implementation
5.1 Supervision on the installation of light fixtures, adjustment and switching inclusive of the lighting testing and commissioning.
